Abacus Striker

Mental-maths practice, 1v1 races and Class Battles

Abacus Striker is a mental-maths practice app for children, from Bauddhik Aabhyas. Only adults sign up. Your child uses a student profile, with no login and no password.

The web app is live at www.abacusstriker.com. Google Play — coming soon

Practice, set up your way

Numbers flash on the screen, then your child answers. There are four kinds of practice: Addition, Mixed (plus and minus), Multiplication and Division.

Settings you and your child can choose

  • Number size from 1 to 10 digits
  • 2 to 100 numbers in each round (5 to 100 for timed multiplication and division)
  • 1 to 50 rounds
  • Flash speed
  • Easy, medium or hard
  • Hints

Recorded without internet

Practice is recorded even when there is no internet, and it syncs later.

Checked on the server

Every answer that counts for points is checked on the server, never trusted from the device.

Three ways to play with others

1v1 Race

A live head-to-head race. Both players get the same questions, and the winner earns rating points.

Four ways to start: Find a Match, Open Challenge, Race a Friend (with a code) and Quick Match.

Choose addition, subtraction, mixed, multiplication or division, 1 to 10 digits, and 5, 10, 15 or 20 questions.

A rating starts at 1200, never falls below 1000 and never resets. Players are matched against similar ratings on identical setups, and an underdog who wins earns more.

Challenge a Friend

Send a friend your exact setup and score. They play it in their own time.

Invites carry no free text, and a challenge expires after 7 days.

Class Battle

A teacher hosts. Students join with a code on their own devices, and everyone gets the same questions at the same pace.

Rankings update live each round. Results can be exported, and battles can be scheduled.

Scoreboards, badges and progress

Monthly and All-Time boards

The monthly practice scoreboard resets at 00:00 IST on the 1st, and past months are archived. A separate All-Time board never resets.

What other children see

Other children see only a display name, points and badges.

108 badges

Badges are awarded by the server and never taken away.

Progress

Progress shows each student's history and statistics.

Parents own the account

Nothing is asked for until a feature needs it, and the app has no tracking, profiling or ads for children.

  • Up to 5 student profiles on one account.
  • An account can be signed in on up to 3 devices at once.

  • The app has no advertising networks, data brokers, tracking pixels or analytics companies.
  • There is no chat between students.
  • You can delete the account, choosing a 15-, 30- or 60-day wait, and cancel the deletion until the wait ends.
